Regina police are seeking help after a man was seriously injured by a bladed weapon

Regina police are seeking help after a man was injured late Friday night in the North Central neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 4100 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a weapons violation around 11:15 p.m., according to a news release from the Regina Police Service (RPS).

According to police, a man suffered serious injuries as a result of an assault and the attacker fled the scene.

The man’s injuries were consistent with those from a “large, sharp weapon.” Emergency services arrived and treated the man, who was taken to hospital.

The incident is under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to contact RPS or Crime Stoppers.
