Wildfire smoke prompts air quality warnings in Sask.

Air quality warnings are in effect Friday evening in parts of Saskatchewan, including Regina and Saskatoon, as smoke from wildfires continues to linger across the province.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) reports that very poor air quality is possible Friday evening, with limited visibility in some areas.

“Air quality and visibility resulting from smoke from wildfires igniting in northern Saskatchewan can fluctuate over short distances and vary significantly from hour to hour,” ECCC said on its website.
