PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center 8th Floor Renovation Project Receives “Top Project Award” from the Daily Journal of Commerce

Longview, WASH. – The Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) TopProjects Awards, the region’s premier built environment recognition program, has awarded PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center a Top Project Award for its 8th-floor renovation project at its annual awards ceremony on June 6 at the Portland Convention Center. DJC TopProjects honors the best building and construction projects in the Pacific Northwest, recognizing individuals and companies that are doing outstanding work in the regional built environment.

The project, which was completed in October 2023, included updating St. John’s medical-surgical unit to provide greater functionality and converting 16 double-occupancy patient rooms to 20 single-occupancy rooms. This involved a complete demolition and rebuild of the floor. “This recognition is a testament to PeaceHealth’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care in a healing environment for Cowlitz County. We are incredibly proud of the work of our team and grateful to our partners who helped make this project a reality,” said Jake Childs, PeaceHealth St. John’s Vice President of Operations.

More information about the project can be found in the Daily Journal of Commerce.
