BC Lions QB Vernon Adams Jr. leaves game against Winnipeg Blue Bombers with right knee injury

BC Lions quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. was forced off the field in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers due to a knee injury.

Adams was quickly knocked out and was seen limping along the sideline. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time.

Adams had completed eight of 17 passes for 74 yards and one interception before leaving the game as the Lions trailed the Bombers 25-0.

Jake Dolegala came on as a replacement.

In seven games leading up to Thursday, the 31-year-old had amassed 2,395 passing yards and 14 touchdowns, including 166 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
