WWE’s chief creative officer Triple H announced Thursday that Survivor Series: WarGames will be held in Vancouver later this year.

The event will take place at the Vancouver Canucks’ Rogers Arena on Saturday, November 30, two days after Thanksgiving in America.

This will be the first time Survivor Series has been held in Vancouver and only the third time the event has been held north of the border in Canada.

Next to WrestleMania, Survivor Series is WWE’s longest-running premium live event, with the show’s first edition taking place in 1987.

Ten years after Survivor Series debuted, it was held in Canada for the first time. Survivor Series 1997 in Montreal proved to be one of the most infamous wrestling events of all time due to the Montreal Screwjob featuring Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

Survivor Series returned to the Great White North in 2016 when Goldberg came out of retirement to defeat Brock Lesnar in the main event in Toronto.

The main event of Survivor Series used to be the traditional Survivor Series elimination tournament, where teams of four or five players went head-to-head. However, that has changed in recent years.

After Triple H became the creative voice of WWE in 2022, he changed Survivor Series to Survivor Series: WarGames and headlined the show with a five-on-five WarGames match.

That was also the case last year and everything points to a WarGames match being the main event again later this year.

While it’s unclear who all will be involved, it would make perfect sense for The Bloodline to get involved in some way.

During Roman Reigns’ absence from WWE, Solo Sikoa took over leadership of The Bloodline and shaped it to his own vision by bringing in Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

If Reigns returns at SummerSlam on Saturday, as many have speculated, he could potentially assemble a team to take on Solo and Co. at Survivor Series: WarGames.
