Leagues Cup: How to watch and stream Tigres vs. Inter Miami

Leagues Cup: How to watch and stream Tigres vs. Inter Miami

As they often do, Tigres find themselves in a match as the older team. They will be looking to keep the ball against Miami in front of what will likely be a large home crowd in Houston. On Wednesday, they knocked Puebla out of the Leagues Cup with a 2-1 win with goals from Sebastián Córdova and Diego Reyes.

Head coach Veljko Paunović knows MLS well as a former Philadelphia Union midfielder and Chicago Fire coach. As his team clashes with the Supporters’ Shield leaders, they’ll be hoping to slow down the pace of play and catch Miami in the moments that present themselves when the Herons gain possession and control of the game.

Goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán will be allowed to play against Miami despite his suspension in LIGA MX. Fans will remember his penalty-taking antics in last year’s Leagues Cup win over the Vancouver Whitecaps. Tigres also have five players from the 2024 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target in Gignac, Juan Brunetta, Guido Pizarro, Jesus Angulo and goalkeeper Fernando Tapia.

In four matchdays of the Apertura, the 2020 Concacaf Champions League winners have won three and drawn, while conceding just one goal, as Tigres chase their first League Cup title.
