Calgary Flames extend Dustin Wolf contract for two years

The Calgary Flames have signed a two-year contract extension for goaltender Dustin Wolf, the team announced Wednesday.

With this contract, Wolf will earn $850,000 at the NHL level.

Wolf, a native of Gilroy, Calif., spent time in both the AHL and NHL this past season. With the Wranglers, he posted a 20-12-3 record, 2.45 GAA and .922 SV% in 36 appearances. In 17 regular season appearances with the Flames, Wolf posted a 7-7-1 record, along with a 3.16 GAA and .893 SV%.

Wolf was drafted by the Flames in the seventh round of the 2019 NHL Draft and turned professional in the 2021-22 season. Since then, he has put up stellar AHL numbers, posting a 97-32-10 record, 2.29 GAA and .926 SV% in 141 appearances.

With Jacob Markstrom now transferred to New Jersey, the path is clear for Wolf to take over the net in Calgary. With Dan Vladar likely to complete the duo, Wolf will have the opportunity to play full-time in the NHL next season.
