Canadian athlete Tyler Mislawchuk pukes ’10 times’ after completing triathlon race at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Canadian athlete Tyler Mislawchuk was spotted vomiting after completing his race in the iconic Siene River as part of a men’s triathlon during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on Wednesday, July 31.

The triathlon event involves a 1.5km swim in the Siene River, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run to the finish. Mislawchuk finished in ninth place with a time of 1:44:25s, demonstrating his endurance and the gruelling nature of the competition. The 29-year-old completed the swim in 20.49s and the bike in 51:45s.

Tyler Mislawchuk finished his triathlon by completing the race in 30:35s. With a ninth-place finish, the Winnipeg-born athlete improved his position from 15th at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. However, Mislawchuk showed the physical toll of the race.

After completing the 10K race, Mislawchuk was visibly exhausted and even vomited, highlighting the intense physical toll of the event. Video of the event went viral on social media.
