15 seconds agoMontreal Canadiens defenceman Kaiden Guhle signed a six-year extension on Wednesday. The deal, worth $33.3 million, will go into effect in the 2025-26 NHL campaign. Guhle became the third defenceman to sign a new contract with the Canadiens this week, joining Justin Barron and Arber Xhekaj. Guhle has been the most productive of the three, posting 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 70 games last season with 178 blocks and 116 hits. The 22-year-old, a first-round pick in 2020, has 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) in 114 games for his career. Guhle plays a key role for Montreal as a partner to Mike Matheson on the first defensive pairing, but his fantasy value has been limited due to his lack of power-play time.Taavi Pailk – RotoBaller
