Obituary Constance Virginia ‘Connie’ Krmpotich

Constance Virginia Krmpotich (Connie), age 92, of Roseville, MN passed away on July 23. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Crosby, MN to Ann (Ferrari) and Orlyn Herington. Connie graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School and the College of St. Scholastica with a degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse at Ft. Hood and at Ely Bloomeson Hospital, where she later became director of nursing. While doing so, she worked toward her master’s degree in public health. After living in Ely for many years, she and her husband Frank moved to the Twin Cities, where she worked on long-term care assessments for the State of Minnesota. After her retirement, she and Frank volunteered at the Como Zoo for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing bridge all her life and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles after her retirement. Connie is survived by her sons, Michael and Mark; daughter Patricia (Carlson); and 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, daughter Anne, and brothers Carl and James Herington. At her request, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, Connie requested that donations be directed to the Como Zoo. The family would like to thank the staff of St. John’s Hospital and NC Little Hospice for their care, compassion and support.
