Saskatchewan Summer Games conclude after week of elite competition

Regina and Saskatoon top the medal standings, Southwest sits in third as the second half of the Games draws to a close

MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM — Six days, 14 sports and nearly 2,000 athletes competing for medals along the way.

And finally, the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games were once again a huge success.

The huge week-long multi-sport event concluded on Saturday with the final medal presentations for the second half of the Games in Lloydminster, culminating in the evening closing ceremony.

Team Regina led from start to finish and finished atop the medal table, with 54 gold, 29 silver and 28 bronze medals for a total of 111 medals. Saskatoon was second with 31 gold, 36 silver and 28 bronze medals for 95 medals, while South West was third with 16 gold, 13 silver and 16 bronze medals for 45 medals.

Rounding out the medal table were Parkland Valley (7G, 13S, 13B, 33T), Rivers West (2G, 11S, 13B, 26T), Prairie Central (8G, 8S, 8B, 24T), North (4G, 11S, 5B, 20T ), Lakeland (3G, 9S, 8B, 20T) and South East (6G, 3S, 11B, 20T).
