Regional police arrest two people after gun violence

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two people following a firearm investigation.

On Sunday morning around 4 a.m., police were called to an address on Roseville Road in North Dumfries Township for “reports of threats with a firearm.”

Officers discovered that a fight had taken place and a weapon had been drawn.

No one was hurt.

As a result, two people were arrested in Guelph.

A 26-year-old man from Waterloo is accused of multiple firearms offences and multiple criminal offences.

A 29-year-old Guelph woman was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Police do not suspect that anyone else was involved and that there is no threat to public safety.
