TSB: One dead after plane crash

A 23-year-old man from White City died Friday in a plane crash near Birsay, Saskatchewan.

According to an email from Sask. RCMP on Tuesday, Outlook RCMP received a report of a plane crash around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Officers responded immediately and the sole occupant of the plane was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RCMP said it could not provide any further information as the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will conduct an investigation.

On Friday morning, the TSB reported that an investigation team had been sent to the area following a plane crash.

The TSB said investigators will assess the situation, but no further information was provided Friday.
