It’s been more than 14 years since Canada welcomed the world to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Despite Canada setting new highs with Olympic performances on home ice and snow, interest in hosting the event waned again in cities like Calgary, where the majority of citizens voted against a bid to host the event in 2026.

Four-time Olympic medalist and current Member of Parliament Adam van Koeverden is keen to see Canada host again.

He mentioned Ottawa when speaking with host Tim Powers on The Vassy Kapelos Show about the potential economic and environmental benefits the city offers.
