Two back-to-back car shows draw enthusiasts to two locations in Oak Bay

Summer is car show season and Oak Bay is no exception. On Saturday, July 27th, The Avenue and on Sunday, July 28th, Windsor Park will be packed with vehicles.

About 300 vehicles, from fully restored to works-in-progress, were on display, each with its own story, Saturday as part of the Oak Bay Car Collector Festival. This year’s show was dedicated to event founder Ken Agate, who passed away in September 2023 after a battle with cancer.

Several sponsors presented awards at the annual event. The two most important awards were the Mayor’s Award won by Rob Maitland and his 1961 AC Ace and Chris Yarrow and his 1930 Packard 740.

On Sunday, Jaguars in the Park added an extra touch of glitz to the seaside resort.
