2 women found dead in Vancouver’s English Bay: police

Vancouver police are investigating the deaths of two women whose bodies were found separately, one day apart, in English Bay.

The first woman was discovered at Sunset Beach around 10am on Sunday (July 21). Officers were called to the scene and confirmed the woman was dead, but were unable to identify her.

On Monday, officers were called to the shoreline near the Kitsilano Yacht Club, where the body of the second woman was found. Police have not yet been able to identify her.

Vancouver police say the cause of death for both women is unknown at this time. The department is working to determine if their deaths are related.

Detectives were in the area Monday collecting evidence and the VPD says the public can expect to see an increased police presence at the two locations as the investigation continues.
