Regina B. Snyder, 87, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. She was the wife of J. Ronald Snyder, Sr. for 67 years.

Born August 11, 1936, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John Michael and Lillian (Kitting) Beinhardt. Regina was employed by American Viscose Corp., Pennwire Television Co., Soil Conservation, Mifflin Co. Community Nursing Program, and Freedom Components until her retirement in 1994. Regina has been a member of Ellen Chapel Church since 1957. She helped with Bible school in her younger years, and for three years later in life. She helped serve meals and attended a neighborhood Bible study in her younger years and a church Bible study later in life.

Regina graduated from Lewistown High School in 1954 and went on to graduate from Central Penn College in Harrisburg. She was an avid basketball fan for both the PSU Women’s Basketball Games and Mifflin County during their championship game in 1997-1998. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing with her husband, reading books, computers, and playing Scrabble and Sequence. After retiring in 1999, she took a train trip to California, Minnesota and Oregon, a cruise with her classmates, and many bus trips with friends. Regina especially enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always looked forward to family reunions.

In addition to her husband, Regina is survived by sons, James Ronald Snyder Jr., Michael Harold Snyder and wife Crystal, and Daniel Raymond Snyder and wife Rebecca; grandchildren Nicole Snyder Welmon and husband Ain of Montrose, Michelle Snyder Vogt and husband Cyle of Orlando, Fla., and Blake Daniel Snyder and wife Kendall of Lewistown; great-grandchildren Evan, Mia and Mya Snyder, Vivian Welmon, Emily, Avery and Henry Vogt, and many nieces and nephews. Including her parents, Regina was preceded in death by brother John Marlin Beinhardt in 2014.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 U.S. Highway 522 S, Lewistown. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Hill of Ellen Chapel Church. King-Barr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
