Waterloo Regional Police ask for public help in locating youth in Kitchener

Waterloo, Ontario Region – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service continue to search for a juvenile who escaped from a secure facility in Wilmot Township.

On July 21, 2024 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Makail Mohamed, a 16-year-old Kitchener boy, escaped from a secure facility on Queen Street.

Mr Mohamed was last seen fleeing the area in a waiting vehicle.

Mr Mohamed is wanted on a warrant for escape and being at large without excuse.

If you see him, do not approach him, but call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 6370.

Keep in mind that: The Waterloo Regional Police Service has released the name and photograph of a juvenile in connection with this investigation, as permitted by a court order. However, this information may only be made public for a period of five days or until the suspect is apprehended.
