Lando Norris' awkward Lewis Hamilton exchange caught on TV after Hungarian GP

Lando Norris was not keen on Lewis Hamilton’s praise as their awkward exchange was captured on television after the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

McLaren achieved its first 1-2 finish since the 2021 Italian Grand Prix, when Oscar Piastri took his maiden F1 victory.

Norris led the race after the second round of pit stops, having been given the opportunity to undercut his teammate.

The British driver then had to back off the gas, giving Piastri the lead again.

Understandably, Norris was not in his usual cheerful mood after the race as another victory eluded him.

The top three finishers will have the opportunity to chat in the cool-down area after the race.

Hamilton wanted to compliment Norris, but he responded with a strange answer.

“You guys are fast,” Hamilton said initially.
