RCMP searching for man wanted on Canada-wide arrest warrant in Saskatoon

The Saskatchewan RCMP and the Calgary Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 37-year-old Michael Robertson, who is wanted by the Correctional Service of Canada on a Canada-wide arrest warrant.

Robertson is wanted for violating court-imposed conditions, including wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet, the RCMP said in a news release.

RCMP said Robertson was last seen in Calgary on May 10, and investigators believe he is now in the Saskatoon or North Battleford areas. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Robertson is about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 260 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair and multiple tattoos on his neck and under both eyes, the RCMP said.

According to Calgary police, Robertson has been classified as a long-term criminal, with charges stemming primarily from incidents in Saskatchewan.

Among the many charges filed against him are: willful disguise, arson with disregard for human life, carrying a concealed weapon, assault, assault with a weapon, careless use of a weapon or prohibited device, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon in violation of a prohibition order, vandalism with respect to property and failure to comply with a waiver.

If you see Robertson, the RCMP advises you not to approach him and to contact your local police.
