Police investigating man shot in car on Sheppard Avenue

Police are investigating after a man was shot while sitting in a vehicle in North York on Wednesday evening.

According to Toronto police Det. David Zajac, the 23-year-old victim was shot while sitting in a car on Sheppard Avenue, east of Senlac Road. After being shot, he drove the vehicle to the area of ​​Johnston Avenue and Botham Road, where he was found shortly after 9 p.m.

The victim suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries, paramedics said. Police said he was shot in the arm.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are not immediately clear.

Police are currently searching for a suspicious vehicle, a dark sedan, that has been linked to the incident.
