Crystal Palace working on deal to sign Ismaila Sarr from Marseille – South London News

Crystal Palace are working on a deal to sign versatile striker Ismaila Sarr from Marseille.

The 26-year-old player is allowed to leave the French club after the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi.

Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman has long been an admirer of the Senegal international, who could bolster Oliver Glasner’s side as an attacking midfielder and at full-back.

The Eagles lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer and will be looking for a new player in an attacking position should they land Sarr.

Sarr joined Marseille from Watford last summer, scoring 56 goals in 131 games for the Hornets.

Palace signed Chadi Riad and Daichi Kamada this summer, while Ryan Sessengon is on trial at the club after leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
