Lewis Hamilton F1 News: Angela Cullen leads ‘epic’ tributes after record-breaking British GP win

Former physiotherapist and confidante of Lewis Hamilton, Angela Cullen, has paid tribute to the Mercedes star’s record-breaking victory at the British Grand Prix.

Cullen now partners Marcus Armstrong in IndyCar, but he praised Hamilton on social media for extending his record number of British Grand Prix victories to nine despite fierce competition and wet weather.

Moreover, Hamilton’s victory at Silverstone last Sunday was historic for another reason: not only did he extend his British GP record, but Hamilton now also becomes the leader for the most wins at a single circuit in Formula 1.

Hamilton previously held the record with Michael Schumacher. The British driver took eight wins at Silverstone and the Hungaroring, while the German icon took eight wins at Magny-Cours.

Cullen previously worked with Hamilton in Formula 1 as his trainer, but the two parted professionally in 2023.

Despite this, they have maintained a close friendship since then, even after Cullen moved to the US.

She was clearly following events in Britain closely on Sunday afternoon and posted a heartfelt tribute to Hamilton after his historic achievement.

“Congrats…awesome win!!,” Cullen wrote on Instagram.
