New public health clinic opens in Kitchener on Wednesday

A new public health clinic will open in Kitchener on Wednesday.

The clinic will be run by Region of Waterloo Public Health and will initially offer vaccine appointments and sexual health services to the public. In the future, the clinic is expected to offer dental screenings and baby feeding appointments.

The clinic will be located on the second floor of the regional building and will include six clinic rooms.

Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, the region’s medical officer of health, said in a news release that the clinic’s “central location” will provide “easy access to important health care services.”

Regional President Karen Redman said in the same press release that the clinic is “a testament to the work the region is doing to provide residents with access to services in spaces and places that fit their needs.”

Public Health already has clinics at 150 Main St. in Cambridge and 99 Regina St. S. in Waterloo.
