Regina police are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian on Albert Street

Police in Regina are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Albert Street on Monday.

On September 30 around 1 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of Albert Street and 1st Avenue for a reported accident.

Officers were told that a crossing pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle, according to a news release.

Police arrived on scene and found the pedestrian, a man, seriously injured.

The pedestrian was treated by ambulance personnel and transported to hospital.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, police noted.

Northbound traffic was temporarily blocked as the investigation into the crash began.

The investigation continues.

“It has not yet been determined what, if any, charges will result pending the outcome of this investigation,” the news release said.
